Our hearts break for the Shafran family today, their beautiful son Finn passed away this morning after a very tough fight against cancer. Many of you may remember Gavin, Finn’s older brother. He was a member of the Friends Purple Junior Division team.
My prayers are with you as you miss your sweet baby boy. My little girl passed away from Neuroblastoma almost 9 years ago. Tomorrow would have been her 12th birthday. She was three when she went to be with the Lord. I still think of her every day and the memories are so vivid. It is so hard but your faith is unwavering and you will make it through. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story and your beautiful boy. I hope to meet Finn when I join them in Eternity. Prayers for your peace and comfort. Love from Louisiana..🙏🙏🙏
Jesus, thank you for Finn’s healing. I pray this precious family will know the power of your Presence as they walk thru their grief ... especially when they return home from NY & the house feels/is different. May they know you in the every day-ness of life in the moments they live thru without Finn. When their hearts are jolted by a memory, smell, song ... I pray they will thank you for the reminder that you see them & grieve too. Be near to them in their grief, anger, desperate longing to hold Finn. Fill their lives with you, their arms with warmth, their hearts with continued compassion for the hurting. Love them well ... as only you can. Amen
You have suffered an immeasurable loss and i am so very sorry. My heart is also broken as i have never prayed so hard and for so long for a miracle. It is not for me to question. The Lord is in control and His way is best. I know that He holds precious Finn in His arms now and you will see him again. Your family and sweet Finn have made an impact on my life. You have never doubted your trust in the Lord - something most people would do in your circumstance. Your strength and faith are inspiring. I can say that I hope to be at a place in my life like that one day - that I can trust God wholeheartedly and believe in His plan, even when it tears our hearts out and we cannot understand why things like this happen.
